SCOPE INDIA TRUST Society for Community Organization and People’s Empowerment) is an initiative of development professionals who resolved to work for the integrated development of the downtrodden in line with the Gandhian principles. It is a non-profit voluntary organization (earlier known as SATHIYAM SAHAYAM TRUST meaning “Truth Sharing Trust”) working for the welfare of deprived and differently abled with the mission of organizing them for peace and holistic development. Scope India Trust has inducted persons of eminence in the field of community development as Board of Directors in order to achieve the vision and mission of the organization in a more systematic and sustainable manner.Over the years, SCOPE INDIA TRUST has worked in the fields of Home care and Palliative Care, Target Intervention for Female Sex Workers,Child rights, training, research and action for strengthening community based organizations and Disaster risk management.
We collaborates with various organizations towards achieving its desired goals. For our project on Rights Based Education for Children, we collaborate with different organizations for different purposes. For example, we collaborate with Thozhamai for capacity building of our staff members, Motivators and volunteers. For improving the quality of learning of children, we collaborate with THRUST. For all our projects, we collaborate with SHGs, Panchayat level federations (PLF), Youth associations, panchayati raj institutions, etc. For improving the reading levels and reading habits of children, SCOPE INDIA collaborates with Hippocampus Reading Foundation. For exposure and trainings, we also associate with READ, HEAL and other organizations. In the area of child participation, SCOPE INDIA takes the critical role of coordinating and collaborating with all leading players in the area of Child rights and child participation. SCOPE INDIA also player a crucial role in the right to education consultation especially in preparing the recommendations to TN Model rules. It is also a member of the Campaign Against Child Labour, Campaign Against Child Trafficking, Forum for Promotion of Child Participation among others. In the area of Community based Palliative Care, SCOPE INDIA collaborates with Institute of Palliative Medicine (IPM) based at Calicut and Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC)

Detailed case study report published in newspaper about “REASONS FOR THE CHILDREN TO RUN AWAY FROM THEIR HOME& TWO NGOS WORKING AMONG THE RUNAWAY CHILDREN IN VILLUPURAM RAILWAY STATION" . The study carried out by two NGOS- RAILWAY CHILDREN INDIA AND SCOPE INDIA is aimed at developing polices that would help enhance the reintegration of runaway children with their families and strengthen the family system . Inbetween 2021-2022 -109 children rescued and reunited with familes .The majority of children (85%)are 15-18 age group. A study conducted among 53 runway children ,who were rescued from villupuram railway station and reunited with their familys over a period of two years ,revealed alcoholism among parents and family conflicts caused by it to be the major reasons that forced them to leave their home.
